Scott was born in Pinehurst and raised in Pinebluff NC. He is a proud Catamount out of Western Carolina University. After starting out with Footlocker Scott went to work as an Area Distributor with Kirby vacuums. In 2006 he moved back to the Sandhills working with his family at Kees Appliance.

Scott plays and coaches a variety of sports including 19 years coaching prep football. He has 5 kids (adults) and is the very proud grandpa of two grandsons. He also serves in many roles in the church he grew up in, including SS teacher, choir director, Stewardship committee and where he met his wife of 13 years Theresa.
